It is the aim of the Point of Single Contact to provide full service also to a foreign entrepreneur (Service Provider (SP) in the Service Directive). In the current situation a Point of Single Contact (PSC) has no digital connection to other PSC’s and the authorities of the country of origin of the Service provider. The entrepreneur has to identify, to collect and submit specific documentation from his home country himself.
SPOCS aims at providing a simplified way to establish business in a foreign EU Member State. A PSC using SPOCS will be able to provide specific information to an entrepreneur about the procedures to be fulfilled and will identify and present the specific documents, including those from his home country, he or she will have to fill and/or submit. E.g., a national Certificate of good conduct or a proof of qualification.
Deployment of SPOCS Building Blocks will enable the national PSC information infrastructure to connect to the infrastructure of other SPOCS enabled PSC’s. This will provide for the possibility to define equivalence between national and foreign documents and the related digital services and the secure exchange of documents.
